Collecting

Why do we collect things? Knowledge? Status? Nostalgia? Loyalty? Most of us have some sort of collection, and many collections are companions to our other hobbies. For instance, an amateur footballer collecting football stickers, or a gardener collecting gardening books. Collections bring us pleasure and comfort, and are the easiest hobbies to get into.
