- Antiques often have sentimental value
- Diversity: you won’t run out of antiques to collect!
- Most antiques can still be used for their original purpose
- Antiques do not need to be stored in air-tight storage boxes
- It’s satisfying building up a collection
Cons:
- Hard to tell if something is old and valuable, or just old
- You can never ‘finish’ collecting
- Antiques tend to be heavy and take up a lot of space
- It can often be expensive
