  • A good mental workout (particularly snooker)
  • Improves focus and concentration
  • Do not rely on physical strength or stamina (unlike most sports)
  • Can be a gender neutral sport

Cons:

  • Not the most fashionable hobby
  • No health advantages (unlike most sports)
  • Requires a huge amount of practise
  • Can be very frustrating at times
  • Difficult to practise snooker at home (tables are 12ft x 6ft)
