Don’t give up after missing a few clay ‘pigeons’: although clay pigeon shooting can be difficult at first it becomes really rewarding when you get your aim in. The hobby gives you all the fun of shooting without the guilt of killing animals!
Pros:
- Social
- Outdoors: fresh air and exercise
- Can promote the countryside (increasing tourism)
- More environmentally responsible than traditional shooting
- No animals are harmed
Cons:
- Can be difficult for beginners (demotivating when you keep missing!)
- You need a specialist equipment and safe (licensed) place to practise
- Requires a lot of space
- Can be expensive
