It may be hard to take seriously, but quidditch is the fastest-growing mixed-gender sport and one of the most inclusive sports in the muggle world. Harry Potter fans or not, the hobby attracts people wanting something a bit different.

- Social
- Improves balance and coordination
- Improves your cognitive skills (lots of tactics)
- Good for general cardiovascular fitness
- Popular among people who participate in no other sport
- Non-contact sport, so relatively low risk of injuries
Cons:
- Silly (but perhaps that’s the point)
- Surprisingly complicated rules
- Difficult to run with a broom between your legs
- Not as popular as football, basketball etc.
- Potential fallings-out with teammates
- ‘Real’ broomsticks not yet invented
